Cherie's Baby Shower

Here are some pic's from my daughter's baby shower that was held last month, as you can see the colors were yellow and purple, with a chicken theme.

One of the little chicks that went on the banner, one chick is holding a blue dolphin while the another is holding a purple dinosaur, two of Cherie's favourite toys as a child.
It is now hanging in the nursery with an extra swag with Kiah's name.

This is the baby shower guest sign in book which will have all the pictures added to it later

Everyone picked their own name tag from a bowl which were egg shapes and only two had a little chicken inside, which where opened at the end of the baby shower,  Cherie and her husband Aaron picked out one each out of 20 name tags and yes they got both of the baby chicks, one each. No it wasnt fixed either.

One of the pages in the little yellow book.
No one picked the right date
KIAH AVA was born on the 16th of November, as yet i havent finished this little book and will mark in the day Kiah was born.

The food was color co-ordinated, with duck cookies and chicken cup cakes, yummy choc coated marshmellows all made by Leah, yellow and purple jelly beans, bananas and other lollies.

Our fruit and yogurt bar, and fruit punches.
And every baby shower needs a Nappy cake. Nikki, made our little baby chicken from tissue paper to sit on top. The flowers are made from socks, mittens and little face washers. The nappies are wrapped with purple cot sheets and a yellow baby wrap.

Even the stork made an appearance

Just some of the balloons and streamers

We also made some fun  photo props

Here is a page or two made from Challenge packs from Create on Ormand, my local scrapbook shop. Its a little competion they organise once a month, were you buy a pack ( each contains two/three designer papers, maybe some embelishments such as flowers or bling or a die cut ) and at the end of the month hand it where it is displayed along with the other entries and customers vote on the one they like best. Along with the papers there is a sheet with the monthy rules and sketch which have to be followed in order to win.
This was August Challenge and i won !!!!!!!!!!
August Challenge had to include fussy cutting a theme of Best Friends and a sketch to follow.
The papers were very busy and we were asked to tone them down a bit. I had just bought the Prima doll stamp the same day and thought it would look cute in the polka dots so theres my fussy cutting along with some of the flowers , some handbags/purses and the scalloped edge.
And who else but my daughters for best friends :)

Here is a close up of the prima doll stamp which was quite fun to play with usually i hate fussy cutting but this was fun to experiement with
